The Mountain Witch

The Mountain Witch is a touring children's theatre production by Speedwell Dance, designed for ages 3–8 and their grown-ups. It’s a magical, interactive performance combining dance, storytelling, and live music, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity and sensory engagement.

The performance will take place as part of Cannon Hall's Pear Day celebrations, within Cannon Hall Museum's beautiful ballroom - a luminous jewel nestled within the heart of the elegant Georgian country house. A polished wooden floor stretches across the room, inviting movement—whether the gentle sweep of a dancer’s foot or the quiet tread of a curious visitor. Ornate chandeliers hang overhead, casting a warm, golden glow that dances across the surfaces, echoing the room’s history of music, celebration, and society gatherings. The atmosphere is both majestic and intimate, making the Ballroom not only a testament to Cannon Hall’s aristocratic past but also a living space for art, performance, and community. What better opportunity to witness a one of a kind performance in such a stunning setting?!
